Former Manchester City star Rodney Marsh has questioned whether Martin Demichelis will ever be selected to start another game for the club again.
Centre-back Demichelis was beaten by teenager Marcus Rashford in the derby who went onto score past Joe Hart and hand Manchester United a 1-0 win.
He would later collide with Hart, putting the goalkeeper out of the game and leaving him facing a spell on the sidelines.
Demichelis was never the most mobile defender, and at 35 he is a risky selection, with United's Jesse Lingard telling The Mail that United targeted him as a weak link.
Marsh used Twitter to express that he would be surprised if the Argentine is ever picked again by Manuel Pellegrini.

The problem for City is that Demichelis was not exactly selected by choice. Both Vincent Kompany and Nicolas Otamendi were unavailable for the fixture, and Eliaquim Mangala alongside him has not exactly been performing well either.
The Times report that Mangala is set to be sold in the summer, and Jason Denayer who is currently on loan at Galatasaray will be brought back into the fold.
Demichelis meanwhile has a contract which expires at the end of the season, after renewing his deal 12 months ago for another year.
