Tottenham and Leicester are reportedly keen on Auxerre midfielder Lamine Fomba.
According to a report from French newspaper France Football, Tottenham Hotspur are interested in signing Auxerre youngster Lamine Fomba.
Spurs have become known for youth development under current boss Mauricio Pochettino, with talented prospects like Eric Dier, Nabil Bentaleb, Dele Alli and Harry Kane all rising to first-team prominence under the Argentine.
With such a clear path from youth team to first team at White Hart Lane, Tottenham are bound to become an attractive proposition for other young players, and it seems that Spurs are indeed keen on another young star.
France Football report that Tottenham are looking to sign Auxerre youngster Lamine Fomba, with Leicester City also credited with an interest having recently been active in signing players from French football, such as N'Golo Kante and Riyad Mahrez.
Fomba, 18, only signed his first professional contract with Auxerre last week, and made his debut for the French Under-18 national team back in September, underlining his potential.
A signing from Red Star at the age of just 14, Fomba has been scouted by Spurs on a number of occasions according to the report, and Pochettino's men may be hoping to make a move this summer, despite that recent contract with Auxerre.
Auxerre's youth academy has dried up in recent years, as gone are the days of Philippe Mexes, Abou Diaby and Djibril Cisse coming up through the ranks, and Fomba is now one of their brightest prospects - but if Tottenham get their way, the midfielder could end up leaving for North London this summer.
Do you think Spurs should be looking to add more talented teenagers this summer?
