Report: Aston Villa interested in Burnley boss Sean Dyche

Aston Villa are reportedly set to part ways with Remi Garde in the coming days.

According to a report in The Sun, Burnley boss Sean Dyche has joined Nigel Pearson and Steve Bruce at the top of Aston Villa’s managerial wishlist.

Villa are reportedly set to part company with Remi Garde in the coming days, as the Midlands side begin to prepare for life in the Championship next season.

The Claret and Blues are intending to appoint an experienced boss, as they look to bounce straight back from their impeding relegation from the Premier League.

So far, Pearson and Bruce have reportedly been two of Villa’s first choice targets, but Dyche has now emerged as a possible option.

Dyche guided Burnley to promotion from the Championship in the 2013/14 campaign, and he currently has the Clarets sitting on top of the second tier this season.

Burnley look set to take Villa’s place in the Premier League next season, but the Villains apparently could still try to convince Dyche to make the switch.

Villa are currently 12 points adrift of safety in the Premier League table, after winning just three matches all season.
