Former Sunderland midfielder was delighted to see Newcastle net against his old team.

Jack Colback showed just how pleased he was as Newcastle United equalised against Sunderland.

The midfielder had been substituted when teammate Aleksandar Mitrovic headed home a vital goal, and leaped into the air on the touchline in celebration.

Colback quit Sunderland two summers ago to join Newcastle United. The 26-year-old has had a mixed time at St. James' Park since signing, with the team being involved in two consecutive relegation battles.

He had played the first 62 minutes before being substituted as Newcastle brought on Siem de Jong in an attempt to get back into the game.

Sunderland had gone a goal up shortly before half-time through a goal from Jermain Defoe, and a win for the Black Cats would have been significant in their attempts to avoid relegation, and hugely damaging for Newcastle.

As it stands, Newcastle are a point behind with one game in hand, with the two teams 18th and 19th, attempting to chase down Norwich City.
