People News: C Suisse, Deutsche Bank, ABN Amro

Pankil Patel, an electronic trading executive at Credit Suisse, has left the firm, a person familiar with the matter said.

Bloomberg News reports that Patel, who spent 13 years at the lender, was most recently co-head of advanced execution services in the Americas, based in New York. His last day was Friday, according to the person, who asked not to be identified discussing personnel issues.

In the meantime, Bloomberg also reports that BHP Billiton, the world’s biggest mining company, has hired Deutsche Bank analyst Rob Clifford to head its investor relations team in London.

Clifford, who previously worked at ABN Amro in Melbourne, will replace Jonathan Price, who is moving to Singapore to be chief financial officer of the company’s marketing and supply business, a spokesman for BHP said.
