Everton could face a fight to keep hold of Romelu Lukaku in the summer.
The Belgian international forward has been in brilliant form this season, and he has racked up 25 goals in all competitions.
It is expected that Everton will face a fight to keep hold of Lukaku in the summer, and Merson believes that they should be asking for a huge fee if they are to sell the 22-year-old.
“I’d say £60 million,” Merson said, when asked what he would value Lukaku at.
Everton now have new investment from Farhad Moshiri, meaning that the Merseyside club are not under too much pressure to cash in on their prized assets.
Lukaku has established a reputation as one of the most feared forwards in the Premier League through his form this season.
The powerful forward has excelled in Everton’s forward line, and his performances have been a major reason beyond Roberto Martinez’s side’s impressive attacking record this season.
Merson has now suggested that Paris Saint-German should be looking to sign the youngster to replace the outgoing Zlatan Ibrahimovic.
“If I’m PSG and Zlatan is going now, he would be the first on my wishlist,” Merson said. “I’d be shocked if he’s still an Everton player next season.”
