The Tottenham Hotspur forward scored two more goals at the weekend.
The England international netted a brace on Sunday to help his side to a 3-0 victory against Bournemouth in the Premier League, and that takes Kane’s tally for the season to 24 goals in 43 matches.
When you consider his slow start to the new campaign, that record is even more impressive and he has clearly proved the doubters wrong. And Pochettino did not hold back when describing the young player after his latest appearance.
“Harry Kane is one of the best strikers,” the Spurs boss said. “He’s a special player. He’s a Tottenham person. He’s a fighter with great skills.”
When you consider Kane is still only 22, the future looks extremely bright both for him and for his club.
He is now heading off with England for the latest international break and Pochettino will be keeping everything crossed that he – and all his teammates – return unscathed for the challenges ahead.
Tottenham may still be five points behind league leaders Leicester City, but things could change between now and May.
