Wolves drew 1-1 with top of the table Burnley at Turf Moor in their most recent outing, and their display in the fixture was highly encouraging.
Wolves had the better of the match against Sean Dyche’s promotion chasing side, with Price’s performance standing out.
The central midfielder dictated the play throughout the match, and Jackett was full of praise for the 23-year-old.
"He was key for us and also came forward and hit the post with a shot," the former Millwall boss said.
"That is something he can do more of because he is certainly capable of it.
"He had a very good game, probably one of his best - or if not his best - game in his Wolves shirt."
Price nearly capped his performance with a goal, but his long-range effort hit the post and rebounded away to safety.
Wolves, instead, relied on Danny Batth to head home an equaliser in the last minute to ensure that they claimed a deserved point.
Price has only made three starts in 2016 so far, but he looks set to continue in Wolves’ starting line-up for the coming weeks.
The Midlands side are set to have two weeks’ off, due to the international break, but they return to action with a match against Ipswich Town on 2nd April.
