Ian Wright impressed with Newcastle player, Jonas Gutierrez shows his support

Newcastle United played out a 1-1 draw with Sunderland in the Premier League on Sunday evening.

Arsenal legend Ian Wright has taken to social networking site Twitter to show his admiration of Newcastle United striker Aleksandar Mitrovic.

The 21-year-old scored a brilliant headed goal for Newcastle in their 1-1 draw with Sunderland in the Tyne-Wear derby on Sunday afternoon.

The Serbia international found the target in the 83rd minute of the Premier League game when he turned in Georginio Wijnaldum's cross.

Former Arsenal striker Wright was following the match, and he was impressed with Mitrovic’s header, while ex-Chelsea defender Graeme Le Saux suggested on Twitter that it was Shearer-esque.

The Tyne-Wear derby is one of the biggest in England, and Jonas Gutierrez was following it.

The 32-year-old midfielder, now on the books of Spanish club Deportivo La Coruna, left Newcastle at the end of last season.

Gutierrez, though, was showing his support for his old club on Twitter during the game.

Newcastle are second from bottom in the Premier League table at the moment with 25 points from 30 matches.
