Graeme Souness explains the huge title-race advantage Tottenham have over Leicester

The pundit has been discussing Tottenham and Leicester's Premier League title hopes.

Graeme Souness believes Tottenham Hotspur's 'youthful group' won't stop persevering, giving them a huge advantage in the Premier League title race if Leicester City slip up, according to Sky Sports.

Indeed, the pundit feels the exact same factors that are benefiting Leicester are helping Tottenham - in that no one expected them to be in this position.

As leaders, the Foxes may face increased pressure, while the north London side may thrive in the position of chasers.

Souness told Sky on Sunday afternoon: "Tottenham are a team that weren't fancied and all of a sudden they have come into the race with no one fancying them. They are not talking about winning it and will be delighted with Champions League football.

"Tottenham have got a youthful group that will keep going. I think they will push them all the way.

"If Leicester slip up once then you will see those nerves jangling."

Souness has often been keen to emphasise Spurs' youth and it could be the impact the class of '92 at Manchester United had all those years ago.

With youth comes inexperience, of course, but also drive and desire. Leicester certainly aren't experienced in terms of winning the Premier League - but that hasn't stopped them so far.

The whole concept of top-flight experience has somewhat gone out of the window this season. Manchester City and Chelsea are the only teams to have won the title recently and look at them...
