Tim Howard will leave Everton and join MLS side Colorado Rapids in the summer transfer window.

Everton fans have taken to social networking site Twitter to have their say on the news that Tim Howard will leave at the end of the season.

Howard will join Major League Soccer outfit Colorado Rapids in the summer transfer window.

The USA international goalkeeper has signed a three-and-a-half-year contract with the MLS side.

The 37-year-old has been on the books of the Toffees on a permanent contract since 2007.

Howard, who played for Manchester United before his move to Everton, has struggled to play to the best of his ability this season and has lost his place in the starting lineup.

The American goalkeeper has also suffered with injury, and it makes sense for him to part company with Everton at the end of the season.

Everton fans, including English boxer Tony Bellew, have taken to Twitter to have their say on the impending departure of Howard.
