According to the Mirror, Arsenal face a battle to keep hold of star player Alexis Sanchez this summer.
The report claims that both Atletico Madrid and Juventus are keen to sign him with the latter monitoring his contract situation as the Gunners have yet to extend his deal at the club.
Sanchez was a roaring success during his debut season in North London, trading the Nou Camp for the Emirates and firing in a number of goals and assists as the club won the FA Cup.
Yet this season he has not quite reached expectations, going more than four months of the season without a league goal and failing to prevent the club from falling 11 points behind in the title race.
Arsenal need major trophies to match both Sanchez’s natural ability and ambitions, although this season they have under-performed and doubts have begun to surface over the direction of the club.
The report goes on to say that Juventus are keen on bringing the former Udinese man back to Serie A, and are willing to match the fee Arsenal paid to Barcelona for his services in 2014.
Atletico Madrid are also said to be keen admirers, and Diego Simeone’s side could press ahead with their interest if Arsenal cannot tie him down to a new long-term contract by the end of the summer.
