The youngster scored his first Premier League goal in the 2-0 win over Everton on Saturday.
The youngster has broken through in the first tam squad this season after impressing in the youth setup at the club.
He has had to wait for his chance in the starting eleven, with Wenger initially handing him chance to impress in the FA Cup.
Last week though saw him start against Barcelona in the Champions League, and then follow that up with a goal on his Premier League debut in the win over Everton.
Bellerin has played alongside the striker for a number of years, and he says he deserves his chance to impress.
“I have always been next to him since the academy,” he told arsenal.com.
“It is always nice to see how players come and graduate into the first team, and I think it is really deserved.”
“He has been playing well in the last few games and I’m really happy for him.”
Iwobi will now be hoping that he is given more chances to impress in the first team between now and the end of the season.
He has already staked his claim, and with the likes of Olivier Giroud and Theo Walcott struggling to find their best form, there is no reason to drop him from the side at present.
And if he manages to add a few more goals to the one he managed against Everton, Wenger will certainly be keen to give him that opportunity to shine.
