Rodney Marsh has advice for Newcastle, Trevor Sinclair makes an observation

St James Park

Newcastle United failed to win against Sunderland in the Premier League on Sunday.

Former Queens Park Rangers and Manchester City forward Rodney Marsh was apparently not impressed with Newcastle United’s performance against Sunderland in the Premier League on Sunday afternoon.

Newcastle played out a 1-1 draw with Sunderland in the Tyne–Wear derby at St. James’ Park.

Jermain Defoe put the Black Cats in the lead on the stroke of half time, but Aleksandar Mitrovic equalised for the home team on 83 minutes.

Marsh has suggested on Twitter that Newcastle need special training, while former QPR and West Ham United winger Trevor Sinclair has claimed that Sunderland looked fresher than the Magpies.

Newcastle’s performance against Sunderland was far from great, but at the end of the day they managed to pick up a point.

Rafael Benitez’s side are still in the Premier League relegation zone, but they do have a chance of escaping the drop.

With Sunderland, Norwich City and potentially Crystal Palace also in the relegation mix, the Newcastle fans should remain optimistic of survival.
