Tottenham Hotspur continued their title fight today with a comfortable 3-0 win over Bournemouth at White Hart Lane.
Christian Eriksen finished the game off, but not before Harry Kane continued his excellent run of form.
The England international scored the other two goals for Spurs, including one after just 45 seconds, as Spurs romped to victory.
Those two goals took him to the top of the Premier League goalscoring charts with 21, the same amount he managed in the Premier League as last season.
One player who felt the need to show off exactly what it was Kane is now the favourite for was Michael Owen:
Great race for the Golden Boot this year. Kane leads the way. Here is 1 of mine! pic.twitter.com/70WNmnZzEG— michael owen (@themichaelowen) March 20, 2016
The former Liverpool and Real Madrid striker won the Golden Boot in 1998 and 1999 with 18 goals in both seasons - but shared it with Chris Sutton, Dion Dublin, Dwight Yorke and Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink across the two seasons.
Kane, who missed out to Sergio Aguero last season, is now hoping to battle off the Argentine, Romelu Lukaku and nearest rival Jamie Vardy in the hunt for the Golden Boot this season.
If Tottenham Hotspur could win the league as well, that would certainly be an extra boost.
