The former Sunderland midfielder didn't cover himself in glory at left-back for Newcastle.
Positives and negatives for Newcastle United on Sunday afternoon...
Finally, the Magpies haven't lost against Sunderland. Aleksandar Mitrovic's late equaliser canceled out Jermain Defoe's opener and a bit of second-half passion was greatly received by fans at St James' Park.
On the flip side, however, a 1-1 draw did nothing for either Newcastle or Sunderland. Norwich City were the big winners.
In terms of individual performances, meanwhile, Mitrovic came up trumps with his goal and many felt Andros Townsend was Newcastle's most creative player going forward.
Moussa Sissoko was considered better at left-back, while Daryl Janmaat was heavily criticised.
So too was Jack Colback - the former Sunderland midfielder whose stock appears to be falling mightily among Newcastle fans. Indeed, supporters felt he was 'useless' at left-back against the Black Cats and are delighted that he is now suspended...
Here's how Newcastle fans reacted on Twitter to Colback's performance against old club Sunderland:
No more Colback as left-back please. Blessing in disguise that he's suspended for the next match. #nufc— style (@Staceyrandomnes) March 20, 2016
Lascelles and Mbemba worked. Colback didn't. Where's Mbabu? #NUFC— NUFC 360 (@NUFC360) March 20, 2016
Can Sissoko and Colback retire after that? Football just isn't their thing #nufc— Ross Lindsay (@RossLindsay21) March 20, 2016
Genuinely wouldn’t care if I never saw Colback in a Newcastle shirt ever again. Useless midfielder, comical defender. #nufc— kye (@kyeeee_) March 20, 2016
colback has set gingers back 10 years with this performance #NUFC— Matt Wheal (@MrWheal) March 20, 2016
