Former Tottenham Hotspur and Liverpool midfielder Jamie Redknapp has been singing the praises of Arsenal youngster Alex Iwobi in The Daily Mail.
The 19-year-old, who can play as a winger or as a striker, is doing well for Arsenal at the moment.
Iwobi also started against Barcelona in the second leg of the Champions League last-16 tie at Camp Nou last week.
Redknapp has been impressed with the teenager and has spoken highly of him.
“Iwobi plays with a smile on his face, he's never late for training and he is a conscientious young man,” the former England international wrote in The Daily Mail. “You might expect that to be a given for any young footballer but sadly that's not the case in the modern game.
“That's why he deserves everything he's got this past week. And what a week it's been - a start against Barcelona at the Nou Camp and a goal in his first Premier League start at Everton. It doesn't get much better than that for any youngster.
“He's got pace, he's athletic and he looks a real prospect. You'd also have to say his performances have pushed him to the front of the queue ahead of a few more established stars.”
Iwobi looks a very bright and talented prospect, and he has a real hunger about himself.
Arsenal are one of the biggest clubs in the world, and it seems that the Nigeria international attacker is making the most of the chances he is getting at the moment.
Arsenal are third in the Premier League table at the moment with 55 points from 30 matches.
