Tottenham got the better of Bournemouth 3-0 with ease at White Hart Lane in the Premier League.
England international striker Harry Kane put Spurs in the lead inside the very first minute and added the second on 16 minutes.
Christian Eriksen wrapped up the scoring with the North London outfit’s third goal just seven minutes into the second half.
Former Tottenham defender Roberts has revelled in the win for Mauricio Pochettino’s side on Twitter and has praised five Spurs players for their performance against Bournemouth: Kane, Kyle Walker, Danny Rose, Kevin Wimmer and Toby Alderweireld.
The former England international has also sent a message to Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger.
The Gunners won 2-0 against Everton away from home at Goodison Park in the Premier League on Saturday afternoon.
After the match, Wenger was quoted as saying by BBC Sport: "Why should it be a two-horse race with one team three points in front of us? Let's focus on performances and after that we will see how we finish.”
The gap between second-placed Tottenham and their North London rivals is now six points, although Arsenal, who are currently third in the standings, do have a game in hand.
