Celtic boss Ronny Deila hails Tom Rogic's goal as a glimpse of magic

The Celtic manager has reflected on late drama this weekend.

Celtic manager Ronny Deila has been speaking to the club’s official website about Tom Rogic's winning goal against Kilmarnock this weekend.

It looked like the Bhoys would be kicking themselves for dropping two vital points before Australian international Rogic popped up to net a superb last-minute winner; that after Celtic defender Erik Sviatchenko had seen his earlier effort cleared off the line.

Rogic’s goal ensured Celtic remained four points clear of second-placed Aberdeen in the race for the Scottish Premiership title, but there is still plenty of football to be played.

Rogic has played an integral role for Celtic this season, featuring 31 times to date and scoring eight goals and providing five assists in the process.

But he had to wait until the 79th minute to come off the bench on Saturday, netting a beauty 11 minutes later.

Speaking after the match, Deila told celticfc.net, “It was a glimpse of magic in the last minute and these games, when you win like that, you will remember it for the rest of your life.

“I was so pleased with Tom coming on and doing that and I think the fans were fantastic as well.”

Celtic’s next match is against Hearts on April 2 but many of their players will be heading off on international duty prior to that.
