Andy Gray and Richard Keys predict Southampton v Liverpool

Southampton and Liverpool will face each other in the Premier League today.

Former Aston Villa and Everton striker Andy Gray has predicted on that Southampton will win against Liverpool at home today.

Southampton will take on Liverpool at St. Mary’s Stadium in the Premier League in a few hours’ time.

Gray has backed the Saints to pick up all three points from the encounter courtesy of a 2-1 victory.

“Two teams next to each other in the league so this should be a close game,” the former Scotland international wrote on

“It will be interesting to see if Liverpool’s players suffer from their efforts against United on Thursday night. Southampton are a good side and home advantage should help them. 2-1.”

Well-known sports presenter Richard Keys has also predicted Southampton to win against Liverpool.

“I think Liverpool’s players will be definitely affected by the huge energy they put into beating United on Thursday,” Keys wrote on “Southampton are a better side and its got home win all over it. 2-0.”

Southampton will head into the game high on confidence and will fancy their chances of winning.

Ronald Koeman’s side are aiming to finish in an European place, and they need the points.

Liverpool were involved in the Europa League on Thursday evening, and that could affect them today.

The Reds still have a small chance of making a push for a top-four finish in the Premier League this season, but for that to happen, they need to win games like this.
