The striker is back in action after a horrendous knee injury.

Nottingham Forest took on local rivals Derby County this lunchtime. Unfortunately it was not the result they would have been after, losing 1-0 after a goal from Rams left-back Marcus Olsson.

Once again Forest struggled to have any real goal threat in the tie. Nelson Oliveira is out of action and Federico Macheda started the game. Dexter Blackstock, in off the bench, does not exactly breed fear.

So it would be great to see star striker Britt Assombalonga back in action.

But he was at least at the game today, as this picture from BBC Nottingham Sport shows:

Assombalonga suffered a hideous knee injury 13 months ago in a game against Wigan Athletic.

This came after the striker, signed from Peterborough in 2014, came out firing in his City Ground career - scoring 15 goals in 32 appearances.

His absence for the past year has been keenly felt, with Forest struggling for goals. Now he is stepping up his efforts of a comeback and perhaps after the international break Forest will be able to call on their main goal-getter once again.
