Former Nottingham Forest midfielder unimpressed with Derby County

Derby County won against Nottingham Forest in the Championship on Saturday afternoon.

Former Nottingham Forest and Leeds United midfielder Steve Hodge has told BBC Radio Nottingham that Derby County’s performance on Saturday did not impress him.

Derby got the better of Forest 1-0 at home in the Championship on Saturday afternoon.

Marcus Olsson’s goal in the 79th minute proved to be the difference between the two sides in the East Midlands derby at the iPro Stadium.

Hodge, who also played for Derby on loan from Leeds in 1994, was not impressed with the Rams despite their win.

"I don't see Derby as being a great team," Hodge told BBC Radio Nottingham. "They've scraped a 1-0 today."

Over the course of the 90 minutes at the iPro Stadium on Saturday afternoon, hosts Derby had 53% of the possession, took 10 shots of which just two were on target, and earned two corners.

Visitors Forest had 47% of the possession, took eight shots of which only one was on target, and earned seven corners.

While Derby’s performance against the Reds was not great, at the end of the day they got the three points.

The win is certainly going to help the Rams in their attempt to finish in the top six of the Championship this season, while Forest may not even end up in the top half of the table.
