The Argentine was pleased with the result against Hull City.
Middlesbrough took a massive step back toward the promotion race last night as they defeated fellow high-flyers Hull City 1-0 at the Riverside Stadium.
At the end of a tumultuous week, which started with Aitor Karanka storming out of the club, the Spaniard was back in the Boro hotseat as the Teesiders picked up a massive win.
Albert Adomah swung in a cross from the right which was headed into the back of the net by David Nugent.
It was a result that certainly had one former Boro player buzzing on Twitter.
Argentine Julio Arca joined the club in 2006 from rivals Sunderland and spent seven years on Riverside before semi-retiring in 2013.
The Argentine sent this tweet last night, after watching Boro pick up a crucial win:
Excellent win for Boro, back to automatic promotion position— Julio Arca (@julioarcaOK) March 18, 2016
The result moved Boro back into second place in the Championship table as they push on toward potential promotion to the Premier League.
Arca and plenty of other Boro fans however will know just how swiftly the tide can change at the top of the Championship table.
They will hope that Boro will continue their winning ways against QPR next Friday.
