The two sides drew 2-2 at Upton Park on Saturday afternoon.
The Hammers twice had the lead in the game against Guus Hiddink’s side, but had to share the points following a penalty from Cesc Fabregas.
It was a disappointing result for Slaven Bilic’s side, who could have moved into the top four had they managed to secure all three points.
One man who didn’t disappoint was Cheikhou Kouyate, who put in a top performance to celebrate his signing of a new contract this week.
|Won Tackle||Duel Won||Ball Recovery||Touches||Unsuccessful Touch|
|Cheikhou Kouyaté||Chelsea vs West Ham||27||71%||4||9||10||56||3|
As shown by the stats provided by Opta, he was busy throughout the game.
In total he posted 56 touches, with just three of those proving to be unsuccessful.
His passing was impressive as he posted 27 accurate passes, the third most of any West Ham player, and enjoyed a pass success of 71%.
It was defensively where he truly excelled though, posting four won tackles, nine defensive duels won and 10 ball recoveries.
All three of those were the most of any West Ham player in the game, in a decent display from the midfielder.
