Tottenham Hotspur reportedly had scouts at another Europa League match this week.
According to a report from Anderlecht-online.be, Tottenham Hotspur were among the many clubs to have scouts at the Europa League clash between the Belgian side and Shakhtar Donetsk this week.
Tottenham were allegedly joined by a whole host of clubs from England and further afield, and here we consider three players Spurs manager Mauricio Pochettino’s staff may have been keeping a close eye on.
Arguably the jewel in Anderlecht’s crown, 18-year-old Youri Tielemans is a central midfielder who already has well over 100 first-team appearances under his belt.
The teenager has a contract until the summer of 2020 but it would be no surprise if he moved on this summer for big money.
Dennis Praet is a 21-year-old who has featured 170 times for Anderlecht to date, scoring and assisting regularly and playing in a whole host of different positions.
Able to play on either wing, as a secondary striker, an attacking midfielder or a central midfielder, big things are expected of the young player.
Very much a right-sided player, 23-year-old Andy Najar is equally comfortable as a full-back or on the wing, and it would be in the latter position that Tottenham would surely see him if he is on their radar.
The Honduras international has just over two years left on his current deal and while he has featured predominantly in defence this season he has proved his goal-scoring ability when played further forward.
