According to a report in the Daily Star, Everton are considering making a bid to sign Paris St-Germain defender Presnel Kimpembe.
The 20-year-old is considered one of the finest prospects in Ligue 1, but his first-team chances at PSG have been limited.
The French capital club’s defensive strength has blocked Kimpembe’s route to the senior squad, and he has made just five appearances so far this term.
Kimpembe could receive more senior starts between now and the end of the season, as PSG have already wrapped up the league title, despite having eight matches still to play.
However, Everton are reportedly weighing up whether to make a bid, as they look to strengthen their defensive options.
The Toffees have struggled at the back this season, and Roberto Martinez is likely to target strengthening his defence for next campaign, with the new funding he has.
Everton have recently received a large amount of investment from Farhad Moshiri, and they are expected to spend heavily in the summer transfer window, as a result.
Kimpembe could be one of the players that they target, but they reportedly face competition from the likes of Liverpool and Roma for the youngster.
