Tottenham Hotspur were knocked out of the Europa League by Borussia Dortmund yesterday.
Davies collided with Hugo Lloris in the first half of Spurs’ Europa League tie, and he had to be replaced.
The Welsh international did not look in a good way as he exited the White Hart Lane pitch, but Pochettino insists that the full-back’s problem is not serious.
"Ben is OK,” Pochettino said. “We need to assess him in the next few days. He got a knock in the face, came onto the pitch and felt dizzy and we took him off for precaution.”
Davies was unlikely to start for Spurs against Bournemouth even before he picked up the injury, with Danny Rose expected to come back for the Premier League match, but he will almost certainly be rested now.
In Davies’ absence last night, Tottenham were unable to overturn the 3-0 deficit against Dortmund.
Spurs always looked likely to face an uphill struggle to beat Thomas Tuchel’s side, and they were largely outclassed over the two legs.
Dortmund won 2-1 at White Hart Lane yesterday, with Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang scoring twice to ensure his side progressed to the next round.
