Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp hails unbelievable Manchester United star

Old Trafford 2

Liverpool boss was impressed with Manchester United's David de Gea, again.

Liverpool knocked Manchester United out of the Europa League, winning 3-1 on aggregate.

The Red Devils were attempting to overcome a 2-0 first leg deficit, and were on track to mount a comeback before Philippe Coutinho scored an outstanding goal.

The away goal meant United needed four on the night to progress, and the second half lacked the intensity of the first as the crowd began to realise the task was beyond the team.

Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp told The BBC after the game, and praised Manchester United goalkeeper David de Gea.

Speaking about the game, he said: "It was nice and intense. You could feel the atmosphere again. They tried to play really offensive, but we had our chances, it was Liverpool v De Gea.

"He was unbelievable again."

If it was not for David de Gea's outstanding display in the first leg, United would have had no chance heading into the second, and he was kept busy at Old Trafford last night.

He is performing at a world class level, and one can only wonder how long it will be until he gets frustrated that his outfield teammates are not matching him.
