John Aldridge, Lothar Matthaus and Dortmund midfielder react on Twitter to Liverpool draw

Liverpool and Borussia Dortmund will face each other in the Europa League quarter-finals.

John Aldridge has taken to social networking site Twitter to give his reaction to Liverpool’s Europa League draw.

The Merseyside outfit have been drawn against German club Borussia Dortmund in the quarter-finals of the prestigious European cup competition.

The tie means that Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp will face his former club Dortmund for the first time since leaving them at the end of last season.

Former Liverpool striker Aldridge has taken to Twitter to give his reaction to the draw, and so has German legend Lothar Matthaus and Dortmund midfielder Ilkay Gundogan.

Liverpool defeated Premier League rivals Manchester United in the Europa League last 16, while Dortmund got the better of North London outfit Tottenham Hotspur.

Dortmund are the favourites to win the Europa League this season, but they will be given a run for their money by the Reds.

The Bundesliga outfit eased past Tottenham over two legs in the last 16, winning 3-0 at home before registering a 2-1 victory at White Hart Lane.
