Derby County midfielder Craig Bryson is desperate for his side to beat Nottingham Forest.

It can often be said that professional footballers do not care about their clubs, and are happy to pick up lucrative wages and go home.

That does not apply to Derby County midfielder Craig Bryson, who cites a win over rivals Nottingham Forest as 'one of the best days of his life'.

The 29-year-old was referring to the 5-0 win in May 2014, a game in which he scored a hat-trick.

He told Derby County's official website: "The 5-0 win against Forest is a game that I will always remember. It was one of the best days of my life and career.

“I think everyone came together that day from the first whistle right through to the last - we were by far the better team."

Derby have not been so dominant against Forest since then, losing the last two fixtures between the teams and drawing the preceding one, despite going into the two losses from a superior position in the table.

Bryson is determined that his side bounce back, adding: "We’ve lost the last two games against them so we know that we need to show a response.”

Both teams have had difficult spells since the turn of the year, dismissing managers Paul Clement and Dougie Freedman, with results not living up to expectations.

Neither replacement bosses Darren Wassall or Paul Williams are seen as anything other than temporary solutions, but will they will know that it is not a game they will feel they can afford to lose.
