Bannan and Lee have both played regularly for the Owls this season, and the pair have enjoyed great campaigns.
The midfielders’ energy levels have caught the eye, and Carvalhal insists he has full faith in both of them.
CC: Bannan and Lee are having an amazing season and play all the time at a good level #swfcLIVE— Sheffield Wednesday (@swfc) March 18, 2016
Bannan is set to miss Wednesday’s next three matches, after an appeal against his red card was turned down.
CC: Bannan is very important, I'm disappointed for him because he wants to play football. But we have trust in all the players #swfcLIVE— Sheffield Wednesday (@swfc) March 18, 2016
Bannan was sent off for a robust challenge during Wednesday’s 3-0 win against Nottingham Forest last weekend.
His ban means that his partnership with Lee is set to be broken up in the coming weeks, with another one of Carvalhal’s midfield options set to be handed a chance.
Wednesday’s next match comes against relegation threatened Charlton Athletic at the weekend, and if Carvalhal’s side are able to pick up a victory, it will strengthen their position in the top six.
