West Ham United are doing quite well in the Premier League at the moment.

West Ham United defender Angelo Ogbonna has told The Times that he and two of his teammates have a point to prove.

“And there are a lot of players with a point to prove like myself, Dimitri Payet and Manuel Lanzini,” said the Italy international centre-back. “It’s our moment to reintroduce ourselves to the world and we want to show ourselves.”

Dimitri Payet and Manuel Lanzini are two of the best players for West Ham and have been in brilliant form so far this season.

Attacking midfielder Payet has scored eight goals and created 79 chances in 22 Premier League appearances this campaign.

Lanzini, who also plays as an attacking midfielder, has scored four goal and created 18 chances in 17 league matches.

Ogbonna, who joined the Hammers from Italian giants Juventus in the summer of 2015, has created two chances in 19 Premier League games.

The 27-year-old centre-back has a pass accuracy of 77%, and has won 48 headers, four dribbles and 26 tackles.

West Ham are fifth in the Premier League table at the moment with 49 points from 29 matches, just two points behind Manchester City, who are currently fourth in the standings and occupy the final Champions League spot.
