Allardyce sends message to Sunderland fans on Twitter ahead of Newcastle game

Allardyce deflated

Newcastle United and Sunderland will face each other in the Premier League on Sunday.

Sunderland manager Sam Allardyce has taken to social networking site Twitter to urge the fans to support the team this weekend.

The Black Cats will return to action on Sunday afternoon when they take on Newcastle United away from home in the Premier League.

With both sides fighting for survival in the English top flight at the moment, the Tyne-Wear derby on Sunday promises to be one of the most important in recent history.

Sunderland boss Allardyce wants the travelling fans to give their full support to the team at St. James’ Park.

Playing at home will give Newcastle an advantage on Sunday, but an early goal for Sunderland could make things tricky for Rafael Benitez’s side.

The Black Cats will be looking to keep it tight at the back, and one suspects that Allardyce will be happy with a point.

Newcastle need to win this game, or else they will be in more trouble of getting relegated to the Championship at the end of the season.
