West Ham youngster Martin Samuelsen was back in the club's colours last night, featuring for their development squad.
Samuelsen was a summer addition from Manchester City last summer, and made a swift debut by appearing in the Europa League.
The teenager was then sent out on loan to League One side Peterborough United where he has been impressing, catching the attention of the public in a televised FA Cup tie against West Bromwich Albion in which he terrorised the Premier League side's full-backs.
Last night as under terms of his loan, he was brought back to feature for the Hammers in their FA Premier League Cup semi-final against Liverpool.
The Hammers fielded a strong under-21 side, with the selections of Reece Oxford, Stephen Hendrie, all featuring alongside Samuelsen, with Josh Cullen returning from his loan at Bradford City for the game.
Liverpool, who fielded first team defender Martin Skrtel, went 1-0 up through Pedro Chirivella, before Doneil Henry pulled West Ham level.
A frenetic extra time period ended with Hendrie netting an impressive winner for the Hammers, sending them into the final.
