Michael Owen predicts Everton v Arsenal

Everton and Arsenal will face each other in the Premier League on Saturday.

Former Liverpool and Manchester United striker Michael Owen has predicted on Betvictor.com that Everton will win against Arsenal this weekend.

Everton will take on Arsenal at Goodison Park in the Premier League on Saturday afternoon.

Owen has backed the Toffees to pick up all three points from the encounter, and has predicted Romelu Lukaku to score.

“I was really impressed by Everton last weekend and think Roberto Martinez’s side fully deserve their place at the head of the market in the betting for the FA Cup,” the former England international wrote on Betvictor.com. “The Toffees will be difficult to beat if replicating that level of performance against Arsenal at the weekend and look an excellent price at 17/10 to turn the Gunners’ over on Merseyside.

“Arsenal were favourites for the PL Title after their last-gasp 2-1 defeat of Leicester but have struggled thereafter; turned over 3-1 at the Nou Camp midweek and with just one win from their last 8 games in all competitions.

“Romelu Lukaku should prove a constant threat to an Arsenal defence that has failed to keep a clean sheet in any of their last six games and looks the most obvious candidate to fire the Blues to victory.”

A footnote added: “Michael’s recommendation: Everton to win and both teams to score at 3/1 with BetVictor.”

Everton will head into the game against Arsenal high on confidence and will fancy their chances of picking up all three points.

The Toffees won 2-0 against Chelsea at Goodison Park in the quarter-finals of the FA Cup at the weekend.

Roberto Martinez’s side have nothing to play for in the Premier League, but the players will be keen on raising their game against Arsenal.

The Gunners are in danger of going out of the Premier League title race and have to win this weekend.

Arsene Wenger’s side’s recent results and performances have been disappointing, and the players will have to be on top of their game against Everton.
