The Italian has been in great form, scoring four in his last three appearances.
Leeds United go into this weekend's West Yorkshire derby with Huddersfield Town in a rich run of form.
Steve Evans' men have won their last three games against Bolton Wanderers, Cardiff City and Blackburn Rovers.
So they go into the game full of confidence of picking up another win.
Their recent good form has been spearheaded by the return to form and action of Italian striker Mirco Antenucci. He has scored four goals in his last three games for Leeds.
The recent form for Leeds has seen them move up the table and has also seen the odd optimistic shout of a potential late play-off surge.
The Italian striker however believes that achievement might be beyond the team.
Antenucci told Tutto Mercato Web this week:
"It will require a miracle to reach the playoff zone. But we must find the right motivation in any case to finish the season in the best way possible.
"The defenders trying not to concede goals, midfielders growing in performance, the strikers scoring and young players doing everything to succeed."
Leeds are currently in 13th position and are 12 points off the play-off positions with 10 games left in the season - so it is a possible, but undoubtedly unlikely task they face if they are to make it into the play-off spots.
Antenucci will however keep trying to score the goals that has started the play-off talk around Leeds United once again.
