Emmanuel Thomas only moved to QPR last summer, but he has failed to make enough of an impact to convince Hasselbaink that he is ready to stake a claim for a first team place.
The R’s have now moved the attacking midfielder out on loan to Milton Keynes Dons, as they wanted to raise some funds.
“Jay Emmanuel Thomas didn’t fit in my plans, and we decided to loan him out and get as much money as possible back for the club while also getting him game time,” the Dutch manager said.
Emmanuel Thomas made a fairly bright start to his QPR career, as he scored four times in his first five appearances.
However, since making that initial impact, his form and opportunities have slowed down.
Emmanuel Thomas has played just 15 times for Rangers this season, and he has barely featured since Hasselbaink took charge.
The arrival of Conor Washington from Peterborough United in January appears to have knocked the powerful forward down the pecking order.
Emmanuel Thomas has made three appearances for MK Dons since joining, but he is yet to score for his temporary club.
