Ian Holloway predicts Derby v Nottingham Forest, reacts to Harry Redknapp appointment

Ian Holloway Vs Chelsea

The pundit has been previewing Derby County's Championship clash with Nottingham Forest.

Ian Holloway believes Derby County will beat Nottingham Forest 1-0 when they meet at the Ipro Stadium during Saturday's early kick-off, according to his regular Sky Sports predictions column.

Indeed, Holloway feels the importance of this derby for the Rams is just too great for them to miss the opportunity of three points.

Meanwhile, ahead of the visit of fierce rivals Nottingham Forest, the pundit has been discussing Harry Redknapp's appointment as a football advisor at Derby.

Holloway told Sky Sports: "With managerless Forest coming to town, this should be a perfect opportunity for Derby to boost their bid for promotion. It's a must-win game for Derby, defeat could throw their aspirations this season right out of kilter.

"Forest will be hoping to repeat their victory from last season and throw a spanner in the works of their big rivals. It will be interesting to see whether Harry Redknapp's appointment has an immediate impact on the field, he usually lifts people and Derby have got to get going again after throwing away points against Rotherham."

The 3-3 draw against Rotherham was a poor result indeed considering the 3-0 lead Derby County had built against the Millers.

Nottingham Forest, meanwhile, will have been encouraged by their 1-1 draw last time out against Hull City, when Gary Gardner's superb long-range strike earned the Midlands outfit a point.

On the subject of Redknapp, it's always interesting to see how he gets on in a football role. His work as a pundit lately suggests he is extremely out of touch with the game. But Neil Warnock gave the same impression in the media and he's doing a fine job at Rotherham...
