Gary Lineker and Danny Simpson react on Twitter to Danny Drinkwater's England call-up

The Leicester man has made Roy Hodgson's latest England squad.

Gary Lineker was delighted on Twitter to see Leicester City midfielder Danny Drinkwater called up to Roy Hodgson's latest England squad.

The Three Lions will face Germany and the Netherlands in upcoming friendlies and Drinkwater has joined Jamie Vardy as a member of the squad.

And Lineker, already on cloud nine this term considering Leicester's position at the top of the Premier League, congratulated the 26-year-old midfielder on a 'thoroughly deserved' call-up.

Meanwhile, Leicester team-mate Danny Simpson also congratulated Drinkwater on a superb achievement.

Drinkwater isn't the only one to achieve an international call-up either, with full-back Simpson messaging N'Golo Kante after he earned a place in Didier Deschamps's France squad.

Leicester's high-flying campaign is earning plenty of reward, then, and the Foxes travel to Crystal Palace for their next Premier League clash.

Every game from now on will be a tough one knowing what is at stake for Claudio Ranieri's men but the good news for Leicester is that Palace haven't won in the Premier League in 2016.
