Arsenal had just two players named in the latest England squad, with Theo Walcott and Danny Welbeck selected.
Kieran Gibbs has not been involved for the Gunners of late, while Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain and Jack Wilshere are out injured.
Walcott's international call has been a bone of contention for many supporters across the country who feel attackers at their own clubs should have been picked instead.
Among those who missed out are Everton's Aaron Lennon, Crystal Palace's Wilfried Zaha, and West Ham's Michail Antonio, who have all been in impressive form since the turn of the year.
The same can't be said for Theo Walcott, who has struggled over the past few weeks, coming in for criticism from his own supporters, and left on the bench with Arsenal needing goals in the Nou Camp this week, picked off the bench for only the final few minutes.
Walcott has a battle to win over his own fans at Arsenal, and the international call only highlights that more is expected of him.
Picking out the last good game he had for England is tough, and he needs to start producing at international level as well as for his club.
Arsenal fans were pretty bemused at his call-up by Roy Hodgson. Here is a look at how they reacted...
With Theo Walcott in the England squad it's safe to say Hodgson doesn't pick players on form, skill or general football ability! #Afc— Stephen Gr€alis (@grealisStevie) March 17, 2016
How the hell can Hodgson justify Walcott being in the England squad ? He's been absolute toilet for us over the last 2-3 months #afc— Gooner Charlie (@averagegunner) March 17, 2016
Walcott isn't worthy of an England call up. How can you call up a player who fails to get into his club side?— Joseph Harris (@08ajharris) March 17, 2016
Walcott's inclusion in the England squad shows everything that is wrong with the national side and why they will continue to win nothing.— Chris C (@Chandang0) March 17, 2016
How does Walcott make the England squad he shouldn’t even be in the Arsenal squad can’t understand what they see in him !— david crisp (@davidpcrisp) March 17, 2016
So overrated !!!!
