Angry West Ham fans slam Tottenham Danny Rose inclusion for England ahead of Cresswell

Danny Rose has been called into the England squad, with West Ham's Aaron Cresswell left out.

Tottenham Hotspur have had five players called into the England squad, with Danny Rose set to earn his first cap, a reward for an excellent season.

Manager Roy Hodgson will have learned by now that you cannot please everybody, but West Ham fans are particularly aggrieved at his latest selection.

The feeling in east London is that West Ham's players have been unfairly overlooked, despite them sitting fifth in the Premier League, not a single player is included in the squad, with Mark Noble missing once again.

They have their own high performing left-back, former Ipswich Town defender Aaron Cresswell, who is a first choice selection in their side, and had been hoping to be rewarded with a call-up to the Three Lions squad for the upcoming friendly match with Germany.

Supporters were less than impressed with Cresswell's omission, singling out Danny Rose, picked ahead of him, as being an unjustified selection.

Tottenham fans feel very differently, that Rose fully merits his call-up to the squad for his performances this season. He has risen to the challenge to his place from Ben Davies, and is the first choice in Mauricio Pochettino's XI.

It would really have been wise for Roy Hodgson to select both players, and Noble, for the squad, especially in a friendly where he ought to experiment, but it seems his mind is made up on the midfielder, while perhaps Cresswell could still force his way in.

Here's a look at how Tottenham fans feel about Danny Rose...
