The defender pulled up in training before the two sides Europa League clash.
The two sides meet at Old Trafford on Thursday, with Jurgen Klopp’s side leading 2-0 from the first leg at Anfield last week.
One man who could miss out is defender Moreno though, who has emerged as a fitness doubt for the game after pulling up with injury in training.
The full back was taking part in a crossing exercise before pulling up and complaining of pain in his hamstring, reports the Liverpool Echo.
He played no part in the work beyond and will now be assessed by the club’s medical staff on Thursday morning before a decision is made on him.
Should he be ruled out of the game, it will provide Klopp with an interesting dilemma over who will deputise in the left back slot.
The first choice would have been John Flanagan now he is fit, but he is not registered for Europa League duty.
Instead the starting spot will likely go to youngster Brad Smith in what would only be his ninth senior start for the club.
