The Terriers defender is looking forward to the Elland Road clash.
Leeds United take on their West Yorkshire rivals Huddersfield Town this weekend, in a game that could see them win four games in a row for the first time in six years.
Of course this is a derby and that makes it hard to predict, despite Leeds recent good form v the Terriers.
One man who is looking forward to the clash is Huddersfield defender Tommy Smith.
Speaking to the Huddersfield Examiner this week he made it clear that he would be pumped up for this derby clash at Elland Road, stating:
“We know what to expect over there.
“We know what we need to do as well, and like I said, we’re all confident about the future.
“It’s a big game and we know how much it means to the supporters.
“But it means a lot to us as well - every game does - and we will go there with the intention of getting three points.”
Leeds United's players will also know how important this game is, especially those with Yorkshire links.
It is not just a derby however but it might even be an opportunity to put Leeds in real contention for the top ten finish they crave.
A play-off spot is likely to be beyond them but winning this derby fixture should make them real candidates to finish in the positions planned at the start of the season.
They beat Huddersfield 3-0 in the reverse fixture earlier this season but this is a new Huddersfield team with a different coach and a fresh philosophy.
It proves to be an intriguing clash.
