Georginio Wijnaldum did not create a single chance for Newcastle against Leicester.
Georginio Wijnaldum has been one of the success stories from Newcastle United this season, impressing since his move from PSV Eindhoven.
The winger is the club's top scorer with nine goals, but his form has trailed off in recent weeks, with his last strike coming back on January 16 against West Ham.
With the club stuck down in 19th position in the Premier League table, they need him to start being productive, although did not see much sign of it against Leicester City on Monday night.
In the 1-0 loss at Leicester, Wijnaldum did not create a single chance, or manage a single attempt on goal.
It was just one of two matches this season he has played that he has had no shots and no key passes, with the other being the heavy loss away to Crystal Palace earlier in the season.
While he was not lacking in confidence on the ball against Leicester, making five successful dribbles and rarely losing possession, the Dutchman needs to start offering more.
The game this weekend against Sunderland is one where they desperately need Wijnaldum to step up, and rediscover the form which made him such a threat earlier in the campaign.
