Gardner fired Forest into the lead at the KC stadium, with a powerful strike from fully 30 yards.
The central midfielder latched on to a pass, before unleashing a shot that Hull stopper Alan McGregor simply had no chance with.
The strike will surely be a contender for Championship goal of the season, and both Lansbury and Burke were delighted with their teammate’s effort.

Gardner was also pleased to have hit the back of the net, although he was disappointed that his side were unable to hold on to claim the three points.
Hull scored their equaliser through Sone Aluko late on, but the result still should be reflected on as a positive one for Forest.
The Tigers have been challenging for promotion all season, but Forest matched them for much of the contest.
The draw has kept Forest in 14th place in the Championship table, with their next match coming against Derby County at the weekend.
