Tottenham youngster Connor Ogilvie reportedly ruled out for the rest of the season

The Tottenham Hotspur player is currently on loan at Stevenage.

As reported by the Hertfordshire Mercury, Tottenham Hotspur youngster Connor Ogilvie has been ruled out for the rest of the season with a serious injury.

The news may have passed many Spurs fans by when it was initially reported over the weekend, but it is a sad end to the campaign for a 20-year-old who had been on loan for Stevenage.

The left-back initially joined the League Two side in August and he extended his temporary stint in February having impressed thus far.

But as reported by the Mercury, the Tottenham youngster sustained a bad injury during training and he will subsequently not play again this season.

Ogilvie scored one goal and provided two assists in 24 matches for Stevenage and he will have no doubt been hoping this was the season when he could have kick-started his senior career.

He previously played 24 matches for Tottenham’s under-21s but much like Alex Pritchard last season he may find the injury curtails his chance to break into Mauricio Pochettino’s first-team plans in the short term.
