Tottenham will take on Dortmund at home in the second leg of the Europa League last-16 tie.
The first leg in Germany ended in a 3-0 win for Dortmund, and Spurs have a massive task on their hands at White Hart Lane.
Former Arsenal forward Nicholas does not expect Mauricio Pochettino’s side to progress to the quarter-finals of the Europa League.
“It would be a big scalp because Dortmund are a great side and I think that's why he’ll (Tottenham head coach Mauricio Pochettino) be tempted to go with his strongest side, which could leave them exposed against Bournemouth on Sunday,” Nicholas wrote on Skysports.com.
“I don't see Spurs winning this but if they don't lose then it wouldn't be a bad night for them in terms of their confidence.”
A footnote added: “Charlie predicts: 1-1 and Aubameyang to score first.”
Dortmund are a very good team, and they will head into the game on Thursday evening aiming to win.
Tottenham are strong at home, and an early goal could give them some hope. However, scoring three goals against the Bundesliga outfit will prove to be tough, and Spurs will not go through to the quarter-finals of the Europa League.
That should not come as a disappointing, though, as Tottenham are still in the race for the Premier League title.
