The Argentine received mixed reviews for his display against Dynamo Kiev.
Ultimately, the damage was done in the first leg in Ukraine as a 3-1 win for the Premier League side proved enough to reach the last eight of this competition for the first time.
Sergio Aguero, David Silva and Yaya Toure were the stars that night, but few, if any, City players rose to the occasion at the Etihad Stadium for the second leg following a lifeless bore draw.
Aguero looked particularly frustrated on a night which saw him receive very little service from his supporting cast and, despite the win, the Argentine looked rather apathetic at full time.
The 27-year-old had his moments, but overall it was a night to forget for the former Atletico hitman, and Twitter users reacted with mixed reviews for the striker.

Aguero doesn't look too happy about that performance. Can't blame him. But job done! QF here we come!— Jimmy BKR (@James_BakerCTID) March 15, 2016

It has been a strange sort of season for Aguero, who still has 21 goals in all competitions but there has been suggestions that he does not look as sharp as he has been in previous campaigns.
If the Citizens are to progress further in the competition, they will need him firing on all cylinders.
