Norwich City, Sunderland, Newcastle United and Aston Villa make up the bottom four.
With Villa cut adrift at the bottom and all-but resigned to going down, it’s now looking like being two from either Norwich, Newcastle United and Sunderland to join the Villains in relegation.
With Newcastle and Sunderland set to face each other at St. James’ Park this weekend, Norwich at least have the opportunity to momentarily move out of the bottom three.
Wilkins, however, foresees a defeat at West Bromwich Albion for the Canaries followed by a seven-game winless run taking them to the end of the season.
“Wilkins can't see another victory for Norwich before the end of the campaign, with key home games against relegation rivals Newcastle and Sunderland tipped to end in draws. The former Chelsea assistant believes Norwich will pick up just three more points from their final eight games,” Sky Sports highlight.
If Alex Neil’s men have any hope of staying up this season, they must look to take maximum points from at least three home games and especially the two against Sunderland and Newcastle.
With Watford also to play at home and trips to West Brom and Crystal Palace, Norwich arguably have the easiest run-in of the three in trouble but their current form suggests they are in big trouble.
The Norfolk side haven’t won a Premier League game since beating Southampton 1-0 in early January.
