Rangers manager Mark Warburton has told the club’s official website that Kenny Miller, Lee Wallace and Dean Shiels are the role models in the current team.
Striker Miller, defender Wallace and midfielder Shiels are senior players at Ibrox.
Warburton has praised the trio for the way they conduct themselves in training, and has said that he is happy that they are in his team.
“What Kenny brings, what Lee [Wallace] brings and Dean Shiels, they bring maturity, seniority, experience and they have that mentoring role which is so important,” the Englishman told Rangers’ official website.
“It can be overlooked but for me, and I look at Lee and Kenny and Dean, the way they look after themselves is a great example as role models.
“The way they conduct themselves, the way they talk, the way they train every single day; they are tremendous role models and the young ones can learn from that. So it’s a hugely important role they play and I’m delighted to have them on board.”
Rangers are having a wonderful season and are set to earn automatic promotion to the Scottish Premiership.
The Gers are at the top of the Scottish Championship table at the moment with 72 points from 28 matches.
The Glasgow giants are 14 points clear of second-placed Falkirk and have a game in hand.
Rangers have also progressed to the semi-finals of the Scottish Cup, where they will take on Old Firm rivals Celtic.
There is a good chance that Rangers could win the Scottish Championship title and the Scottish Cup this season.
